Sue -- I am very proud of the hard work that you have done with your trainer. I know how hard it is to get yourself in "that" frame of mind, but admit it; once you are there, you ARE there! It sounds like Davis has implanted many great exercize ideas which will give you a variety of ways to continue to take off the excess pounds. Wait until this summer, Toots. That leopard suit of yours will be looking ggrrrreeeeaaatttt (like Tony the Tiger would say it)!!!

I am very proud of you and we will continue to give each other encouragement.

:)

Great writing as always Sue.I am happy that i am not a kid today with all that is around there are too many distractions for Kids.Kids do not go out and play and use their imaginations like we did outside.I think that neighborhoods are not the same either.I am all for technology but at what cost?.Hope you are well in this your 50th year:).

Hi Susan... great blog. Control pretty much sums it up. I'm a big Noam Chomsky fan. I saw Chirs OD comment on facebook about your blog so I had to check it out. How do you go about blogging? It is kind of interesting. Thanks...

Steve Cameron

I would like to add to this beautiful blog of Suzan's that I feel the same way about my friends as Sue feels about family. Both friends and family are the best things for which I believe we are all thankful.

To all my friends, Happy New Year to you and I am glad to know you whether I see you every day, every week, or once a year.

I am glad that I know all of you! :)

Goodness, I, like Sally, missed this one as well! Sue - you hit the nail on the head in every paragraph above. Your stories should be picked up by the national papers - you deserve your own column!!!!

:)

I don't know how I missed this great article. One of my top favorites. We went to McDonalds maybe once a year. We would take Sunday rides and to Allen's Farm in Cumberland for a big treat. There are no 'treats' anymore. A treat was supposed to be just that. Not a daily or even weekly reward. Loved it. Loved it, Sue.

HELLO BARBARA,THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. WAS YOUR MICHAEL CONNELLY FROM SPIDDAL THEN CAME TO PORTLAND MAINE? IT IS POSSIBLE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT NUMBER ON HIS HAT AND BADGE. I WAS TOLD BY A FELLOW WHO IS A HISTORIAN OF SORTS THAT THE BADGE NUMBER MAY HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. I HAVE NO PROOF EITHER WAY HOWEVER I HAVE SEEN HIS PICTURE AND AM TRYING TO GET THE FAMILY TO GET IT TO ME TO ADD TO THIS STORY AND THEY HAVE JUST BEEN BUSY BUT HAVE PROMISED ME THEY WILL GET THE PHOTO TO ME SOON. HE WAS A HANDSOME MAN. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR STORY.

What a clusterf... Sounds like the typical government-related situation where they have their head up the a..
Wow - I don't blame you for being mad. I also would love the break the windshields of those parked in the handicapped spot - that really pisses me off!

Well, apparently the H1N1 vaccine is now overflowing per the news - aint that something that in a week's time it is available! What a crock.
God love ya, honey. If big brother is watching, I'm screwed.

:) Cathy
